Honestly I'm surprised how critical you are about what you've submitted, since it holds such good quality compared to the most part! Though there's definitely a great deal of amazingly talented artists too... too much to take in all of it. In the beginning you'd recognize names but now it's becoming like DA. Such a flood. Too many to keep track of.
Anyway I don't think you need to worry about the scouting thing... for your own art at least. If you're not sure about something: just don't click that 'for the portal' checkbox It's fine to upload general sketches and WIPs too if they're profile-only, and so far all your work's definitely portal quality. Definitely best to think about who you scout though, so they're not someone prone to break rules or scout others who do.
Hey thanks for the in-depth responses too! :D To respond to the responses (since you can't do so on reviews): Tall Knight's definitely portal quality too. :) It's not as common a style, but with that amount of detail there's no doubt about it. Regarding Voxel hmm, maybe just less material fire? I feel it feels solid the way the edges are formed... or a level of transparency/fade. Could do some experiments there! I'm no master of the craft but sure, feel free to ask about anything if you think I might have an answer. :)

I'm really happy to see the rules are strict too! Gave it a good read the other day and its very concise and straightforward. I only worry about the scouting thing ( not in what it is or how its carried out of course ) due to not wanting to let folks down somehow y'know? Heaven forbid I ruin it for someone somehow.
